Standard Autodesk Revit Details and Detail Library

As with AutoCAD, having a Revit detail library can save significant time during a project. In Revit these details will either exist directly in the templates or be grouped together in 'warehouse' files with similar details.

There are several different levels to detailing in Revit, the quickest and often first step is to covert or redraw simple lines, circles, text and hatches to create your 2d details. Often significant portions of these details can be imported from AutoCAD, and cleaned up in Revit. If details do not exist in AutoCAD, or need to be updated significantly, it is highly suggested that they are started from scratch within Revit itself. We can even push your details to become right with information and start to tie into items like your specifications.

As suggested, some firms also use this time as the appropriate point to weed through and update their standard details, which of course can add significant senior level time to the process as they review and redraw details. It is important to point out that although this is a separate consulting service, all details for Revit project should exist within Revit for numerous reasons.
