BIM and Revit Consulting, Implementation, and Support Services
Initial Discovery

Many BIM consulting firms will try and sell you prepackaged services without the faintest idea of how you internally operate or where you currently stand in your BIM transition. During a typical initial discovery process, the experts at BIM Coalition work with your firm to understand where your firm is with BIM today.

Maybe you are just thinking about implementing Revit or just received your first RFP requiring BIM services. Perhaps you have already implemented BIM, but have hit a brick wall in productivity, or have users still struggling after days of expensive Revit training to complete what used to be quick and basic tasks prior to Revit. Understanding what is currently working or not working for you is the key to make sure your future investment into BIM implementation will be spent wisely.

During an initial discovery, we will work closely with your leadership to understand your typical projects, practices, workflows, and team makeup on both Revit and Non-BIM projects. If you have been using BIM, we will analyze what has and has not been working for your project teams.

This is all done with very close collaboration with your Management and department leaders as well as key members of your projects teams using Revit or other BIM software. It is even beneficial to meet with your internal or external IT or marketing consultants.

The initial discovery phase of our BIM consulting services is a learning experience for both sides. Not only is BIM Coalition learning about your firm, but you are learning about us. Many of our clients often realize they are learning about themselves as well during this process.

We also find that there are a great deal of questions that come up during this process. Often project teams have already run into difficulties or have hear disaster stories from their peers in the AEC industry using Revit. We allow for plenty of question and answer sessions to help ease the initial anxiety associated with such a drastic change in our processes. The most important aspect of these questions and answers sessions is we do not sell you the software, allowing us to give you honest and truthful feedback on what will and will not work, what we can and cannot fix, and what we believe is the best approach for your firm.
